Music and Conflict Resolution with Tommy Sands

During the Good Friday Agreement Talks, Tommy Sands’ performance was described by Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister as "a defining moment in the Peace Process". 

Tommy, whose work foreshadowed new paradigms of conflict resolution and peacebuilding, will perform from his multimedia show "Ballad of a Songman,” telling of growing up in Northern Ireland and how he promotes peace through music. 

A discussion moderated by Adjunct Lecturer in public policy Hugh O’Doherty will follow, and we will conclude with a reception and a jam session - bring your instruments!
