Pakistan Symposium: Emerging Technologies and their Implications for Pakistan

Join us for an engaging afternoon as leading policymakers, industry experts, academics, and innovators come together to explore how emerging technologies are reshaping Pakistan’s economic, financial, and social landscape.

Taking place on April 20, 2026, from 1:00–6:00 PM, this symposium will feature a series of thought-provoking panels and discussions covering key areas including fintech, global markets, venture capital, artificial intelligence, and education technology. The event aims to foster meaningful dialogue on how Pakistan can harness innovation to drive inclusive growth, strengthen institutions, and compete in an increasingly digital global economy.

The symposium will open with a keynote address by Bilal Bin Saqib, Pakistan’s Crypto Czar, who will share insights on digital assets, regulatory frameworks, and the country’s evolving role in the global tech ecosystem.

Panel discussions will bring together distinguished speakers from organizations such as the State Bank of Pakistan, Alvarez & Marsal, Center for International Development, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, MIT Sloan, Anthropic, and American Express, among others. Sessions will explore:

  • The future of finance, fintech, and capital markets in Pakistan
  • The intersection of financial technology and global markets
  • The role of fintech and edtech in driving social impact
  • Opportunities and challenges in venture capital and startup ecosystems
  • The implications of AI, data governance, and the future of work

Through these conversations, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and risks posed by rapid technological change, as well as actionable insights for policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

This event is ideal for students, professionals, and anyone interested in Pakistan’s economic future and its place in the global innovation landscape. Snacks will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to stay for networking opportunities with speakers and peers.
