From co-founding the first Indonesia-focused private equity firm to becoming Indonesia’s Trade and Investment Minister, Tom Lembong has come a long way since he got his A.B. from Harvard University in 1994. Lembong will share his experiences from Wall Street and Indonesia’s private sector to serving in Indonesia’s public sector -- what he calls “profitocracy” to bureaucracy. He will discuss Indonesia’s growing importance in the global community and economy as well as share his thoughts on how Indonesia’s democracy can best navigate the potential economic storms ahead. This conversation will be moderated by Jay Rosengard, faculty chair of the HKS Indonesia Program.
