Join us for hors d'oeuvres and conversation with Stephen Richer, former Recorder for Maricopa County (Arizona) and Senior Practice Fellow in Democracy at the Ash Center. This will be the first of two events hosted by Stephen regarding political courage and what we can do to protect free and fair elections in 2026 and beyond.

In November 2020, Stephen Richer was elected as the Recorder of Maricopa County, Arizona which ranks as the second-largest voting jurisdiction in the United States, with 2.6 million registered voters.

Richer was responsible for running much of the election process, including voter registration and mail-in voting. He earned national recognition for pushing back on unsubstantiated claims of a “rigged election”, defending free and fair balloting, and speaking truth about the integrity of the state’s election processes.

Registration will be first come, first served. This event is only open to HUID holders. Preregistration is required. Light food and beverages will be served.
