Reimagining Infrastructure Underpinning International Development| David McNair

Developing countries face unprecedented challenges, from cuts in official development assistance to debt burdens, and the impact of energy and food price inflation, and the disruption of AI technologies. With increasing needs and scarce resources, building new infrastructure to improve the quality of policy decisions matters more than ever.

Dr. David McNair, Managing Director at ONE Data, will introduce a new vision for leveraging AI to address the fragmentation in data on where development finance goes from aid, debt, private investment, and domestic budgets. David will demonstrate how these flows can be modelled in one connected platform, integrated across sources and cleaned and organized by experts. He'll walk through the technical thinking behind the new Development Finance Observatory a platform built by ONE Data with Google.org and The Rockefeller Foundation and demonstrate what becomes possible when you apply groundbreaking technology to persistent data challenges.
