Please join the Veterans Impact Initiative in celebrating Veterans Day by thanking Harvard's veterans and active duty military members for their service. Drop by the Sunshine Lobby at the main level of the Wexner Building for a friendly gathering in appreciation of our community's veterans.
All veterans and active duty service members are encouraged to proudly wear or display any swag (hats, sweaters, t-shirts, etc.) from their respective branch.
Civilians are highly encouraged to attend and speak with those who have served in an effort to further build community between our civilian and military populations.
Light refreshments will be provided and all Harvard community members are welcome to attend!
Veterans Impact Initiative Overview:
The Veteran’s Impact Initiative is a student-led collaboration between the Harvard Center of Public Leadership and the Institute of Politics focused on bringing veterans, and their lived experiences, into all areas where decisions are made. In view of the civilian-military divide, the initiative plans to connect public service-focused veterans and aspiring service members to leaders and organizations engaged in making real change. With their commitment to servant leadership, unique perspectives, and deep familiarity with how policy decisions affect lives, veterans are particularly suited to lead the next generation of decision makers. This initiative serves as their springboard, connecting them with public service stakeholders in search of dedicated practitioners focused on making a difference. Our nation needs principled leaders now more than ever, and veterans looking to continue their service exemplify some of our brightest possibilities.
