Shrinking Africa’s Infrastructure Gap with Patrick Achi, Former Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire Photo

Join the Center for International Development for the final installment of our Spring 2024 Speaker Series featuring CID Senior Fellow and former Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire Mr. Patrick Achi. Mr. Achi will speak on "Shrinking Africa's Infrastructure Gap."

As Africa’s infrastructure needs continue to grow to meet the needs of its young population, who will pay the bills? The African Development Bank estimates there is already a financing gap of about $100 billion, with $130 billion to $170 billion needed each year for infrastructure development. Join CID Senior Fellow, H.E. Patrick Achi, for this discussion of his experiences in financing, building, and operating key infrastructure investments such as ports, power, roads, railways, health facilities, and schools in Côte d'Ivoire as the former Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Infrastructure.

Harvard students are invited to register for a career roundtablewith Mr. Achi following the talk.
