Speech and Memory How to memorize your talk (and why bother doing it?) In this workshop we will learn effective memory techniques that help us prepare a talk for delivery. We will learn about mnemonic devices and acquire basic tools in the art of memory (such as chunking, spacing, and active retrieval). We will also get to know, and practice, spatial mnemonic techniques used by memory masters from Ancient Greece to the present. Finally, we will realize why making the effort to memorize a talk could be more rewarding for us than just getting a teleprompter.
