CID Speaker Series Presents Mandeep Tiwana, Chief Officer – Evidence and Engagement at CIVICUS.

Every year CIVICUS publishes a State of Civil Society Report that looks at global events from a civil society perspective. The 2023 State of Civil Society Report examines a world plagued by conflict and crises, including of democratic values and institutions, but in which civil society continues to strive to make a crucial difference in people’s lives. A presentation of the report’s key findings will be shared along-with an overview of global civic space conditions based on CIVICUS Monitor findings. The CIVICUS Monitor is a participatory research platform that draws on multiple sources of data and information to provide a comparative global overview of levels of civic freedoms in all countries. This is a hybrid event open virtually to the public and in-person at the Harvard Kennedy School for HUID holders. Lunch will be served. Harvard students can also register to take part in an in-person, roundtable career chat from 1:15-2:15pm with Mandeep after his talk. Registration is required and will close once room has hit capacity. Registration will be available closer to the event date.
