Why is impact litigation so important to advancing the cause of global LGBTQI+ equality? Join us for an engaging session to learn more about how this strategy is used to target laws, government policies, or practices that discriminate against LGBTQI+ people, as well as dive into its potential and its risks.

Our lecturer is Sarah Warbelow, Senior Vice President for Law, Policy, and Research at Out & Equal, and former Vice President, Legal, at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). She is a widely recognized expert on LGBTQI+ civil rights law, and routinely consults with law and policy makers, businesses, media outlets, and advocacy organizations to advance equality. At HRC she led a legal team of lawyers focused on federal, state, and municipal policy, domestic and international impact litigation, and amicus curiae advocacy. She is an affiliated professor at George Washington University and George Mason Law School, and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
