Study Group with Brock Lowrance: What We’ve Learned About Influence and Politics

That’s a wrap — we are pulling together everything we’ve discussed about influence and politics.

From campaign war rooms to Capitol Hill, we’ve spent the semester pulling back the curtain on how politics really works and the players that drive Washington. We’ve met the chiefs, the consultants and the strategists who shape decisions, drive narratives, and keep Washington running — and explored the money, media and mechanics that power it all.

In this final session, we’ll bring it all together — revisiting the biggest takeaways from our conversations on campaign strategy, money in politics, media, messaging and the machinery of influence in Washington. We’ll reflect on what’s changed, what’s next and where you fit in.

Whether you’re thinking about a career in politics, public service or advocacy — or just want a sharper understanding of how it all works — this is the perfect way to close out the semester.

AUDIENCE: These conversations are open to members of the Harvard community. Please RSVP with a valid Harvard email address.

OFF-THE-RECORD: In keeping with our long tradition at the IOP to ensure honest and candid discussions of politics, all IOP study groups are off-the-record.
