Study Group with Brittany Shepherd: Inside the Rise and Dominance of Conservative Podcasting

Join IOP Fellow Brittany Shepherd as she hosts a conversation with Saagar Enjeti, co-founder and co-host of the influential podcast Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Launched in June 2021, Breaking Points quickly ascended to the top of political podcast charts, reaching over one million subscribers on YouTube by June 2023. Saagar has also frequented the Joe Rogan Experience, as well as other major podcasts.

Enjeti’s career from serving as the White House correspondent for The Daily Caller to co-hosting Rising on Hill TV, and eventually establishing an independent media platform, offers a window into the evolution of conservative media.

In this study group, Saagar will share his professional experiences and discuss how conservative podcasts have become a dominant force in the audio space, significantly influencing political discourse and electoral outcomes.

AUDIENCE: These conversations are open to members of the Harvard community. Please RSVP with a valid Harvard email address.

OFF-THE-RECORD: In keeping with our long tradition at the IOP to ensure honest and candid discussions of politics, all IOP study groups are off-the-record.
