Study Group with Rohit Chopra: The Algorithmic Republic

Join former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director and FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra for a discussion with Ambassador Karen Kornbluh to discuss how AI interacts with democracy and the social contract.

Ambassador Kornbluh served in the White House as the Director of the National Artificial Intelligence Office. Among many other roles, she also served as Ambassador to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. She was Policy Director for then-Senator Barack Obama, and served as a senior official at the Treasury Department and Federal Communications Commission, where she negotiated early internet policies.

Unlike other discussions at Harvard that highlight artificial intelligence, Director Chopra and Ambassador Kornbluh will take a different approach that explores the role of institutions and the distribution of power.

GUEST: Ambassador Karen Kornbluh, Former Director of the White House National AI Office

AUDIENCE: These conversations are open to members of the Harvard community. Please RSVP with a valid Harvard email address.
