Show Me the Money: Campaign Cash and How It Can Impact Elections

Since Citizens United, conventional wisdom has decried the rise of money in politics—but often only one side of that story is told. In this study group, we will look at dark money, Super PACs, and "hard dollars" to analyze how parties and candidates rely on money to get their message across to voters. We'll examine a campaign finance system that limits the amount of money candidates and parties can accept, and discuss incentives caused by the current campaign finance regime.
