Taubman Center: Economic Development Fellowship Information Session

Discover the Taubman Center’s Economic Development Post‑Graduate Fellowship. A yearlong, competitively paid opportunity for an HKS graduate to work full-time with a state, county, or city economic development agency. This fellowship is open exclusively to HKS students graduating in Spring 2026 and offers hands-on experience advancing inclusive economic growth at the state and local level. Featured Guest Speaker: Zach Brandon, President, Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce (Madison, Wisconsin)


Zach Brandon has served as President of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce in Madison, Wisconsin since November 2012, leading regional efforts to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.


Before joining the Chamber, Zach was Director of the Wisconsin Angel Network, an early-stage investment organization dedicated to increasing equity investments in Wisconsin’s entrepreneurs, and he served as vice chair of public policy for the national Angel Capital Association.


Previously, he was Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, where he held senior roles in policy and external affairs. In that capacity, he advised the Governor, Commerce Secretary, and Legislature on global trade and business development strategies, with a strong emphasis on expansion, investment, and entrepreneurial development.


An experienced entrepreneur and small business owner, Zach has been part of the leadership team of three startups and served as president and CEO of Laundry 101, which was named one of USA Today’s top “Best Places” to do laundry in 2003.
