The Rt Hon Jesse Norman MP has served as Financial Secretary to the Treasury and Paymaster General in the UK Government, among other ministerial positions. Before entering politics he was a Director at Barclays, and taught philosophy at University College London, where he took an MPhil and PhD in the philosophies of logic and mathematics. He has also been a Visiting Fellow at All Souls College, Oxford. His writings include acclaimed books on the life, ideas and impact of Edmund Burke and Adam Smith.
