Tech & Regulation Study Group: A Regulatory Economist’s Perspective on Lessons for Tech Sector Regulation Photo

​​As Europe implements the Digital Markets Act and the UK moves toward regulation of digital platforms, can we draw lessons from interventions in other sectors for  the promises or pitfalls of regulating a highly innovative sector like this?  Monday’s study group, “A Regulatory Economist’s Perspective on Lessons for Tech Sector Regulation,” will focus on economic evidence from past regulation, focusing in particular on financial services and telecommunications regulations.​

Jon Sallet.Discussant:  Nancy Rose, Charles P. Kindleberger Professor in the MIT Economics Department, and Visiting Scholar, Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government.Lunch will be served.
