In Their Words: Palestinian Perspectives on Fear & Hope in Gaza & the West Bank

Event Description: How has a new generation of Palestinian leaders emerged in Gaza, the West Bank, and the diaspora to challenge the status quo and fight for justice and human rights? In this webinar, three Palestinian leaders will share their stories and perspectives on fear and hope in Gaza and the West Bank amid global challenges and uncertainty. We will be joined by Aseel Mousa, a journalist from Gaza who has covered the devastating war, writing for The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Middle East Eye, The Telegraph, and The Intercept; Issa Amro, a prominent Palestinian activist and human rights defender based in Hebron who has been arrested multiple times for his nonviolent resistance against settlements in the West Bank; and Muhammad Shehada, a Gazan researcher, writer, and human rights advocate and currently the Chief of Communications and Programs at Euro-Med Monitor and a columnist at The Forward.
