This workshop is in-person only. If you can't make it or prefer to learn online, join us on February 6.

Are
you working with sensitive audiovisual content (e.g., certain
interviews) for your PAE or other research? Do you need to transcribe
that content on your own device?

Whisper (from OpenAI) is the tool
for you. This is a hands-on workshop for getting Whisper installed and
working on your laptop. We will introduce the tool, what it can do, and
why you might want to use it. The bulk of the workshop will focus on
installing and getting started using Whisper on Mac and PC laptops.

Please
bring your laptop (you'll need administrator rights). If you're using a
PC some knowledge of the command line will be helpful, but we're happy
to provide additional guidance as necessary.

Accessibility: The HKS
Library encourages individuals with disabilities to participate in our
events. If we can make learning easier for you, please email library_research@hks.harvard.edu or call 617-495-1300.
