Public-health challenges cannot be solved by any one sector acting alone. Drawing on three decades of work across business, government, civil society, academia, and communities, Myriam Sidibé examines what makes cross-sector partnerships credible, scalable, and accountable. Her examples will include work she has done supporting AB InBev’s ten-year, $1 billion Global Smart Drinking commitment, an ambitious and contested effort to reduce harmful drinking, work with Unilever on a global handwashing and hygiene initiative and emerging work with girls on sexual and reproductive health and rights in Africa. Myriam will explore what unlikely allies can achieve together, where partnerships fall short, and what public-health collaboration must become next.

This seminar will be given by Myriam Sidibé, Founder and Chief Mission Officer, Brands on a Mission. It will be moderated by Jane Nelson, Founding Director of the Corporate Responsibility Initiative.

It will take place in Malkin Penthouse for those with an HUID who wish to attend in person. Others may join us remotely via Zoom. Lunch will be served.
