WAPPP Seminar: Closing the Wage Gap in Massachusetts, the UK, and the World Photo

In this seminar, Massachusetts State Representative Tram T. Nguyen and entrepreneur Zara Nanu will discuss pay equity in Massachusetts, the United Kingdom, and global contexts.

Rep. Nguyen will explore the issue in Massachusetts where, despite leaders’ efforts to increase equity in the workforce in past decades, wage gaps persist across various metrics including race and gender. Rep. Nguyen will provide an overview of the work that she, her colleagues, and advocates have been doing to advance legislation that would provide salary and wage transparency to employees and employers in Massachusetts to decrease wage gaps and promote equity in the workforce.

Zara Nanu will talk about the evolving landscape and trends around pay equity globally, and the roles played by governments, organizations, and workers.
