Sexual Assault Awareness Month poster

For Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, we invite you to wear teal (or blue) clothes today Wed 1 April and pick up a teal ribbon to wear in April and participate in our pledge board in the JFK Forum 10:30am-12:30pm to show support for survivors of sexual assault.

Ask What You Can Do to combat sexual violence, including through public policy and public leadership.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is marked in thousands of communities across the US in April. Nearly every minute, someone in the US is sexually assaulted and every nine minutes that someone is a child (RAINN). Globally, 840 million women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime (UN Women), and over 1 billion women, men and children alive today have been subjected to sexual violence as children (UNICEF). The teal ribbon is a national symbol of support for survivors of sexual assault and sexual abuse.

This is a student organized initiative.
