Monica Bertagnolli, MD, former Director, National Institutes of Health, and Senior Research Fellow in the Healthcare Policy Program in the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, HKS, will lead this hybrid seminar. Amitabh Chandra will moderate.
The National Academy of Medicine definition of a Learning Health System is: "a system where science, informatics, incentives, and culture are aligned for continuous improvement, innovation, and equity. In this system, best practices and new discoveries are seamlessly integrated into the healthcare delivery process, and new knowledge is generated as a direct byproduct of the patient care experience.” This seminar will address the progress that has been made over the past 20 years and also the challenges still to be met to achieve this goal.
Those with a Harvard ID are invited to attend in person in Rubenstein 414AB. Lunch will be served. All others may join via Zoom webinar.
M-RCBG welcomes individuals with disabilities to participate in its programs. To request accommodations or ask questions about access, please email claire_byrne@hks.harvard.edu.
