Winning Change in Unlikely Places

Event Description: Join us for a masterclass with Tiernan Brady, the visionary strategist behind two of the most successful LGBTQ+ equality campaigns in history. As the Executive Director of the Equality Campaign in Australia and Political Director of Ireland's "Yes Equality" campaign, Tiernan played a pivotal role in securing marriage equality victories through groundbreaking public engagement strategies. This session will explore the challenges of designing successful LGBTQ+ equality campaigns, drawing from Ireland, Australia, and beyond—including lessons from the corporate world. Through key moments and strategic insights, Tiernan will share what it takes to build winning movements in unlikely places.

This event marks the first of five lectures in the Winning Change in Unlikely Places series. The opening session is a webinar, while the remaining four are interactive virtual classrooms with limited spots for members of the Global LGBTQI+ Changemakers Network—offering a deeper dive into the mechanics of effective advocacy. Offered through the Carr Center's Global LGBTQI+ Changemakers Network as part of our Online Program for LGBTQI+ Advocacy and Leadership.

Preregistration for this event is required.
