Harvard Kennedy School Graduates to Receive Diplomas During May 30 Ceremony

Current and future leaders in public service – from the U.S. and across the globe – will receive their diplomas during commencement ceremonies May 30 at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Harvard Kennedy School’s (HKS) Class of 2013 is comprised of approximately 564 students, representing 77 countries.
The HKS Class of 2013 includes a Member of Cabinet, European Commission; a detective with the New York Police Department; a former policy liaison officer with the Australian Prime Minister’s Office; a former press secretary on Capitol Hill; a senior economist with the International Monetary Fund; state representatives from both Vermont and Massachusetts; and the future City Director for Delhi Operations, Teach for India (TFI).
Graduate degrees include: Master in Public Administration (MPA); Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID); Master in Public Policy (MPP); Ph.D. in Public Policy; Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government; Ph.D. in Health Policy; and Ph.D. in Social Policy. (All Ph.D. degrees are conferred by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences).
The breakdown by program for the HKS Class of 2013:

• Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID), 64
• Master in Public Administration (Mid-Career), 209
• Master in Public Policy (MPP), 203
• Ph.D. in Public Policy, 4
• Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government, 1
Commencement ceremonies at Harvard Yard will be held the morning of May 30. A separate Kennedy School diploma ceremony will follow at approximately 12:15 p.m. in JFK Memorial Park. Both ceremonies will be web streamed live on the Harvard Kennedy School website: https://www.hks.harvard.edu/live
