Institue of Politics Issues New Guide on How to Reach Younger Voters

CAMBRIDGE, MA – "Keep it simple, keep it positive, keep it relevant, keep it real." That is the message to politicians who want to reach younger voters, says a new guidebook from the Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics. The guide, “Are You Talking to Me?” includes current research conducted by the IOP and other organizations that reveals the voting habits and political mindset of the under-30 generation, who, contrary to common perception, are actively engaged in the political process.
Included in the guide are statistics showing where young people stand on the issues, and advice on how to reach out to them. The guide is being distributed at both the Democratic and Republican conventions, and can be found online at:
