At Harvard Kennedy School, we share a passion for public service. We believe that smart public policy and inspired public leadership can make people’s lives safer, more prosperous, and more fulfilling. Whether around the corner or on the other side of the globe, Harvard Kennedy school students, staff, faculty, and alumni are doing their part to serve.

One way members of the Kennedy School community live out their commitment to service locally is by participating in Public Service Week and HKS Serves. Co-sponsored by Degree Programs and Student Affairs, the Dean's Office, the Student Public Service Collaborative, and other groups, these events are an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to volunteer on behalf of local organizations in Cambridge and the Greater Boston area.

Service is at the heart of the Harvard Kennedy School mission.

HKS students, staff, faculty, and alumni do their part to serve.

On our annual days of service, HKS gives back to our local community.

Thank you to all the volunteers who help make our day of service a success.
