Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are core values at Harvard Kennedy School.

HKS is committed to creating an inclusive, equitable, and culturally rich community that fosters civility and respect. We are a community of staff, students, and faculty with wide-ranging backgrounds, experiences, and opinions who are steadfast in supporting our communities as public servants and leaders.

The Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (ODIB) supports, advocates for, and advises staff, students, and faculty members in the Harvard Kennedy School community. The office works collaboratively across HKS centers, programs, and departments to create accountability, build competency, and mobilize the community toward a more inclusive future.

In our interconnected world, we need leaders who serve with acceptance, inclusion, compassion, openness, and respect. These values are at the very heart of what we do at Harvard Kennedy School.
