Harvard Kennedy School will offer exclusively online teaching and learning this fall semester, HKS Dean Douglas Elmendorf announced today.
"I was terribly saddened and angered to read about the brutal death of George Floyd at the hands of someone charged with protecting the public. With the killing of Ahmaud Arbery, the racist treatment of Christian Cooper, and a Covid-19 mortality rate for black Americans that is more than double that for white Americans, we are reminded—yet again—of the scourge of racism in American society and of the imperative to change."

We are deeply sorry to learn of the passing of Dorothy Zinberg. Dorothy had been a lecturer in public policy at HKS, a long-time affiliate of our Center for Public Leadership, a founding member of our Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, a compelling advocate for our School, and a beloved member of the Harvard University community for many decades.
