Please come to a unique presentation by Lorne W. Craner, Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor in the George W. Bush Administration. This lecture is the 4th in Carr Center's Spring 2014 Speaker Series: "The Obama Human Rights Policy: The Unfinished Agenda" Mr. Craner is President Emeritus of the International Republican Institute. He served as President from 1995-2001 and then returned to the position in August 2004. Previously, Craner was Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor for U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. Craner was Senator John McCain’s foreign policy advisor, from 1986 to 1989.
