CANCELLED Public Transit in the Age of the Smart Phone

Our special guest is Josh Robin, Vice President of Strategy and Development for Masabi Ltd.  Masabi specializes in state of the art transit fare collection systems that signal the end of ticket lines by allowing passengers to quickly and securely buy and display tickets on their mobile. The company’s technology allows transit agencies to transform their passengers’ travel experience while also dramatically expanding sales capacity without significantly increasing costs.  Josh will be talking about the challenges and opportunities working with transit agencies that often are operating in the last century.
Josh is the former director of innovation at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (and was part of the team that  facilitated the development of Where’s My Bus and other similar apps.) He is a graduate of Northeastern University.
