Give Peace a Chance: The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Session III: Is it possible? We will discuss the two state solution and the two other alternatives. The first being the continuance of the status quo. The second is the meaning of the one state solution for both sides. We will show the parameters of the Geneva Accord, the swap of land between both sides. We will try to understand the paradoxical situation where the extremes of both sides are helping each other in their attempt to stop the process. We will debate limitations of the leaders regarding the American initiative of finding a formula for a framework plan that will lead toward a possible agreement. Guest: Dr. Yossi Beilin (via Skype), Member of Knesset for twenty years, and the former chairman of Israel's Meretz party, Yossi has held ministerial positions in the governments of Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres and Ehud Barak. ***All study groups are off-the-record and not for media coverage***
