Intelligence & Democracy: Perspectives from Intelligence Community Officers

The National Security Program and the Belfer Center are co-sponsors of a study group for American military affairs. National Security Fellows from the Central Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Counterterrorism Center, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, and Army Intelligence will discuss their perspectives on meeting today’s intelligence needs. Panelists Preston Golson, Dennis Desmond, Tammy Thorp, Rob Alberts, and LTC Mike McNealy bring years of experience in the field and will explain the work each of their agencies does to meet today’s threats. The role intelligence agencies play in a democracy is a topic of much public discussion, and this study group provides a unique opportunity to continue the discussion here. Please bring your questions for what promises to be an engaging session.
