Stemming the Tide: Confronting Youth Violence in Chicago

Join panelists: Jean-Claude Brizard, Former CEO, Chicago Public Schools; Leasia Clark, Year Up Chicago 2012 Alum; Rep. Ken Dunkin, Illinois House of Representatives; Steve Gates, Chicago Director, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. for a discussion on "Stemming the Tide: Confronting Youth Violence in Chicago." As gun violence continues to plague communities in Chicago's South Side, advocates, policymakers, and experts are working to address the root causes of what has been called a "gun violence epidemic." Join us for a discussion with local and national stakeholders that will examine how innovative policy, partnerships, and interventions can address the root causes and damaging effects of this phenomenon.  Light snacks and beverages will be served.
