• Glen Shor, Massachusetts Secretary for Administration & Finance
• Jean Yang, Executive Director of the Commonwealth
Health Connector In 2006, Massachusetts took on head-first the challenge of making health care accessible to everyone and increasing the number of Massachusetts residents with insurance. The federal Affordable Care Act was signed by President Obama in 2010, and while it includes many aspects that mirror Massachusetts’ groundbreaking effort, it also brings to Massachusetts residents new choice, benefits and expanded subsidies than before. Now, in 2013, Massachusetts is working tirelessly to ensure the success of the Affordable Care Act while maintaining the Commonwealth’s position as a national leader in health care access and affordability. Please join some of the Patrick Administration’s top health insurance officials who are directly responsible for managing the implementation of this important initiative as they discuss the challenges and successes that are part of the reforms created by the Affordable Care Act. Sponsored by the Regional, State, Local and Tribal (RSLT) Governance PIC , the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston, the Taubman Center for State and Local Government, and the KSSG
