Harvard to Host Former Athens Olympic Committee President Angelopoulos-Daskalaki to Discuss the ‘Greek Paradox’

Cambridge, MA — The former President of the Organizing Committee for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, will deliver a public address Nov. 2 at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Her lecture, “The Athens Games: Resolving the Greek Paradox,” will begin at 6 p.m. in the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum, 79 JFK Street, Cambridge.
Angelopoulos-Daskalaki is a former city councilor in Athens and a former member of the Greek Parliament. In 1996 she was appointed president of the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games Bid Committee, and in 2000 she was named president of the ATHENS 2004 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games.
