State Secretary of Environmental Affairs to Address Ocean Management Legislation at Kennedy School

Cambridge, MA — Ellen Roy Herzfelder, Massachusetts Secretary of Environmental Affairs, will offer perspective on oceans management March 21 at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. The speech, “Oceans: the Last Wild Frontier” will begin at 5 p.m. in Conference Rooms B and C, 5th floor of the Taubman Building, 15 Eliot Street, Cambridge.
Herzfelder will address ocean management legislation that Governor Romney is planning to file on March 18. Daniel Schrag, professor of earth sciences at Harvard University , who also directs the Harvard University Center for the Environment and Harvard’s Laboratory for Geochemical Oceanography, will offer comment on Herzfelder’s remarks.
The event is sponsored by the Kennedy School’s Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston, the Harvard University Center for the Environment and the Harvard Green Campus Initiative.
