Abstract
The author reflects on the state of public schools in the
U.S. under the administration of President Barack Obama. Ratings given
by the public to schools have declined to the lowest level according to
the Education Next poll released by the Hoover Institution. Also found
in the survey is another indication of declining public confidence, as
people are less willing to spend more money on public education.
According to the author, it is time Obama tell states, school districts
and unions to take responsibility for their actions.
