The Library's Behind the Book video series engages Harvard Kennedy School faculty on their recent publications and the stories behind their research.

A groundbreaking look at the ways institutions of the past continue to sway attitudes of the present, Deep Roots demonstrates - through an historical look at the institution of U.S. slavery - how social beliefs persist long after the formal policies that created those beliefs have been eradicated.

Political Buttons Collection

The Political Buttons at HKS Collection includes over 1,500 political buttons from the 20th and 21st centuries. The buttons in this collection represent state, local, and national U.S. political campaigns from Calvin Coolidge to Hillary Clinton. The collection also contains buttons pertaining to significant ballot initiatives, social issues and movements, and political demonstrations.

Faculty Working Papers

Harvard Kennedy School faculty disseminate their research in working papers and publications that contribute to public knowledge and fuel policy innovation. This list features recent faculty publications, including journal articles, books, edited volumes, research papers, and public testimony.
