Julian Jamison, Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy, is a Senior Economist in the Center for Behavioral Economics at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He is also a fellow in the Women & Public Policy Program at the Kennedy School, a Lecturer on Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University, and a Research Affiliate at Innovations for Poverty Action. His research focuses on individual and strategic decision-making, especially with regard to health decisions, the value of information, and international policy. He pursues this research with methods ranging from theoretical (e.g., game theory) to empirical (e.g., laboratory and field experiments) to neurobiological (e.g., brain scanning). with a particular focus on the measurement of time and risk preferences. He has consulted for various organizations and has worked in Bolivia, India, Liberia, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Vanuatu. His BS is in mathematics from Caltech and his PhD is in economics from MIT.
