Position Summary
The Center for International Development at Harvard University (CID) is recognized as a global leader in research to advance human well-being and economic progress in the developing world by expanding the understanding of development challenges and offering viable solutions to global poverty. The CID has an immediate opening for a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Networks and Economic Complexity to conduct interdisciplinary research in the area of economic development for the Growth and Empowerment Labs based at the CID.
Basic Qualifications
PhD required. Candidates will be knowledgeable in networks and complexity science and have a strong background in data analysis and computational methods. Familiarity with technical computing software, such as Matlab, Stata, or other program languages is required.
Additional Qualifications
This appointment is interdisciplinary. We will consider candidates from across the disciplines: computer science, applied mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, economics, or sociology. Strong candidates will have a significant publication record; the ability to work both independently as well as on a team and interest in issues related to economic development. The fellows are expected to spend the bulk of their time on team projects.
